Professor Sarah Byers of Boston College came to talk to HRL about when human rights begin. We talked about the ethical ramifications this has regarding the abortion pill and plan B, and we discussed when a fetus has rights (from the moment of conception!) She also taught us how to ground our arguments in philosophy, referencing Aristotelian concepts and definitions given by the United Nations. Thank you for the wonderful presentation Dr. Byers!
